Meet your provider
One provider, start to finish
Nancy Phillips is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner whose path began in acute cardiovascular care and ran through years as a Family Nurse Practitioner before psychiatry. That foundation shapes how she practises now: the mind assessed with the same rigour as the body, and the two read together rather than referred apart.
The split between physical and mental health is tidy on an organisational chart. It does not exist in an actual human being.

Depression
Persistent low mood, hopelessness, or loss of interest in things that used to matter. Depression is treatable, and treatment works better the earlier it starts.

Anxiety Disorders
Generalised anxiety, panic, social anxiety, and phobias. When worry stops being useful and starts running your day, it is treatable.

Bipolar Disorder
Mood that swings between elevated or agitated episodes and depressive ones. Accurate diagnosis matters here more than almost anywhere else in psychiatry.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Intrusive thoughts that will not leave, and the rituals done to make them quiet. OCD responds well to the right treatment, and poorly to reassurance.

When something that happened will not stay in the past. PTSD is treatable, and treatment does not require you to narrate the worst thing before you are ready.

Your first visit is a thorough, unhurried evaluation of about 60 minutes. Your history, what is happening now, and what you want to change, in a private HIPAA-compliant session.

Begin your plan
Together you agree on a treatment plan: therapy, medication, or both, with follow-up close enough to catch what is not working.

Do you accept my insurance?
The practice is in-network with Cigna (New Jersey), Aetna (New Jersey), Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, and Carelon Behavioral Health. Self-pay clients are welcome as well. If your plan is not listed, call (609) 400-4962 and we will check your benefits with you before you book.
How do telehealth appointments work?
Every visit happens over secure, HIPAA-compliant video. You receive a private link before your appointment and join from a quiet, private space on a phone, tablet, or computer. There is no app to download, no waiting room, and no commute.
Who do you treat?
Adolescents aged 13 and older, and adults, who are physically located in New Jersey at the time of the appointment. Care covers psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychotherapy, or medication and therapy together.
What happens at the first appointment?
The first visit is a comprehensive evaluation of about 60 minutes. You will have time to talk through your history, what is happening now, and what you want to be different. Nothing is rushed. Before the session ends, you and Nancy agree on a treatment plan together.
Can you prescribe and refill medication?
Yes. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Nancy evaluates, prescribes, and manages psychiatric medication. Prescriptions are sent electronically to the pharmacy you choose, and refills are handled between follow-up visits.
